Our Story

Carmatillie Chocolates is an artisan chocolate company based in Cincinnati, Ohio, built on a dedication of love to my mother, Carmen, and her sister, my Aunt Tillie. Together, they passed down a deep passion for the culinary and baking arts, along with an appreciation for beautiful presentation and unforgettable flavors.

That passion came full circle at a wedding. After experiencing one too many mediocre catering menus, I was asked a simple question: “Want to cater our wedding? You’re such a great cook — you could do so much better.” How do you say no to your sister?

That moment marked the beginning of my journey into the culinary and pastry arts, a path that would eventually lead me back to what I love most: handcrafted chocolate.

Today, Carmatillie Chocolates creates small-batch, made-to-order artisan chocolates in Cincinnati, using thoughtfully selected ingredients and a meticulous attention to detail. Chocolate is my muse — a medium where flavor, texture, and design come together to create something truly special.
